Hey there , I'm Saurabh Sharma, a web developer based in India. I made things (mostly webapps) to solve business problems. I really admire the open nature of web. No single person/corporation controls the entire web unlike Android or ios.
My preferred set of tools inlcude (but not limited to)
React.js, GraphQL, Typescript and
Nodejs. Certainly some project have unique requirement and I need to
use a more specialized tools, for ex: we use svelte.js (instead of
React.js) to make our storefront widgets since we needed very small
bundle sizes and writing the whole thing in plain javascript with
createElement
wasn't cutting it. And yes like most web
developers I use
Git for version control,
Github for collaboration and
Visual Studio Code as my primary code editor.
I work at Codeword Studio. Here we made Shelf, An all-in-one app to take your shop online. It included inventory management, a customizable website for shop, sync functionality to cross post your products on amazon or other ecommerce platforms. We deprecated it for some reasons and migrated to Shopify. Now we made shopify apps (ofcourse in our prefered tech stack ) to cater our unique need. You can see our shopify apps at Apps by Codeword
In my free time, I'm either tinkering with new web frameworks or new programming languages (I really like rust but I don't get it :P). You can see some of my experimental projects on my Github. Lately I was trying my hands in Android Native development. I also read books mostly from personal growth, business, history, programming, pyschology genre. My best reads are 1. Zero to One: Notes on Start Ups 2. Rich Dad Poor Dad 3. How to Win Friends and Influence People.
I write my thoughts mostly on programming at my Dev.to. My top posts are Try these 4 languages from 4 corners of Programming, Declarative Programming & React , My favorite people to stay updated in web development space Currently I'm moderator of #graphql tag on dev.to.
I'm very social, If you want to contact me you can email me. If you just to be friends you can follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Github and Dev.to
